Get the rubber rejuvenator mentioned in my last post. If I manually put my fingers on the rolls and turn them down so that the lifting mechanism physically lifts the paper, it loads and prints great, but it won't physically lift the loaded paper to the rolls.
Test ovficejet printer on different applications to see if the problem is consistent. I mis-typed it as "x" in my earlier message. The screws in the front are hidden under snap-on covers. When the power off button is pressed again, it goes into the start-up mode and works fine.

Now I am back up and running. We were considering buy offkcejet new printer but not now!! I have two old HP I wish I could get some more for spares! It is picking up the paper OK and printing right at the top. Tip HP is not going to tell you how to repair anything that involves opening your printer.
The little arm is not jammed on the white gear, and I have cleaned the clear plastic strip. I understand that Epsons produce great print quality, but the printhead is built in and you are going to get hit with a significant bill if it fails.
I recently had noted a faded, streaking in the black ink printing.

I keep turning it off and on. Absolutely hate to pack the dumpster with it, it's been bullet proof up until now. Scrap out as much congealed ink as possible and soak the service station in hot water. If that helps I suggest using rubber rejuvenator on this particular model.

I may have traced it to a worn dog clutch activator. Looking forward to your reply. Any chance of dismantling it and posting the small part I need? I purchased my office officejett pro C in and have never experienced any problems since day one.
Unfortunately, I cannot seem to remove the bottom half of the paper input tray. Perhaps the paper is too thick. Turned the power otficejet and then it finally was ok. This printer has not printed this crisply since it was new.
I bought it at an auction 6 years ago for next to nothing and have tried a couple other ones in those years but always go back to it. Any ideas gratefully received, please.

The odds are extremely good that your printing problem is caused by ink build up in the service station. I can not thank you enough. Hi there, Has any one any bright ideas! I, too, have an OfficeJet c with a problem, but jp reports a different error message: Is there anyway to fix this.
I speculate that it is an electronic problem, either the carriage board or the main board.
